Front End or Full Stack Web Developer

Part Time / Full Time - £30,000 - £45,000 + equity
Cambridge, UK

Think you can improve on the Solidi website? Let's be fair, that wouldn't be hard! But just what would you do with limited time, scaling issues and customer demands?

As employee number 3 (or 4) you will be responsible for everything - nothing will be outwith your remit and you will lap up the challenge!

Responsibilities

  • Support the existing team by taking over web development tasks on the main Solidi site
  • Propose, design, cost and implement new features
  • Take on customer support tasks (even the CEO picks up the phone)
  • Promote Solidi as part of our social marketing campaign
  • Participate in testing, deploying and live testing of all site upgrades

Required Skills

  • Very strong front-end skills (PHP5 / HTML5 / CSS / JavaScript / Responsive Design)
  • Advanced knowledge of responsive and mobile design
  • Strong skills in CSS / JS frameworks and libraries (jQuery / Bootstrap)
  • Good understanding of web security considerations and best practices
  • Linux command line experience
  • Git source control experience
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your development skills
  • Able to work as part of a small team, taking ownership of deliverables and working to tight deadlines

Desirable Skills

  • Node.js experience (future career development)
  • Python
  • MySQL (or other SQL variant)
  • Familiarity with web sockets and Restful API's

This position comes with a 6 month probation period
